Is there a sign up fee?
All of the websites that we care for must first go through a quality check for us to become familiar with the website. If we have built your website recently then this should take very little time and there is no sign-up fee.

If, on the other hand, your website was built by someone else or hasn’t been updated in a while then our quality check will be much more involved and may require more time to get your website up to our high standards. When this is the case we will require a website evaluation, and will provide you with an estimate of time and cost (usually no more than 2 hours).

Am I locked into a contract?

Absolutely not! We are all about a relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go, but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in… all of our WordPress care plans are contract-free, so you may cancel at any time.

To cancel, simply send us an email and let us know. We’ll immediately stop your next payment and you’ll continue to receive your website care plan benefits until the end of the month. After this, all of your stored backups and other plan features will be removed.

What tasks are included in monthly support time?

Monthly support time can be utilized for content update requests and small design improvements – these are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is fair game, such as theme or stylesheet changes, new form creation, changes to existing forms, posting blogs with SEO set-up, social media posts, etc. We will work until your time limit is reached. Unused time does not carry over into the next month.

We just ask that you be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

Does monthly support time roll over?
The monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in our queue and our resources, therefore it does not roll over. You can take comfort in the fact that what you request, within your allocated support time (depending on your plan), will be addressed by our team with immediate attention. However, you can change and adjust your plan to meet your changing needs, and we ensure all of our clients get much more than they pay for!
Is Email Hosting included in your plans?
No, the cost of hosting is not included in any of our plans. However, we partner with 2 very reputable and low-cost hosting providers and are happy to manage transferring your site over, and of course all of the details of maintaining your site’s hosting environment as part of your plan.
What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, or breaks?
In the event that your website has a major issue, we will be there to get it fixed and back online. Our hack free guarantee doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for your site to get hacked. It means we will do everything within our power to prevent it and be able to restore it super quickly if it does.
What if I need more support time/hours?

If you need support above and beyond what is covered under your care plan, we will submit a time estimate for you to approve separately. If approved, we will schedule a block of time for this work to be completed and it will be billed in 15 minutes “Tasks” or hourly increments of $40 and $150 respectively.

How do the consulting / strategy calls work?
Your consulting sessions are a chance for you to get high level strategic thinking and insight into not only your website, but your overall business, brand, and marketing workflow. Brainstorming and strategy works best on a video call, where we can share screens, and we will get to tackle things realtime. Sessions can be recorded, and referenced by you and/or your team as needed. During the strategy calls we will work together to identify areas of your website and strategy that can be improved, and come up with a list of action items for our team and yours.
My website was built by someone else, can I still be on a care plan?
Our WordPress Care Plans were primarily developed for websites we designed and built, however, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated webmaster. We first like to do a website evaluation to become familiar with your website, how it was built, and to spot any potential issues if the site hasn’t been updated regularly. With the website evaluation, we perform all of the necessary updates and connect to our monitoring tools, as well as make a full backup of the website. We thoroughly assess your website / WordPress dashboard, hosting environment, and any additional software integrations. We then make a list of the issues which need attention and suggestions for improvements needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly care plan. The website evaluation is a fixed $450 fee and includes a 30-minute review call (recorded via Zoom) and a website evaluation report.
But my web host says they are handling backups for me...?
Most web hosting companies do conduct routine backups, but they are often stored on the same server as your site, so if your server is compromised, then your backups are worthless. Not to mention, each day web hosting companies provide less and less service and longer and longer support queues, so actually getting them to do what you’re paying for can be a major pain and suck up precious (profitable) time. We provide daily database backups and weekly full website backups that are stored off-site on Dropbox’s cloud servers.  We can access these clean backups quickly to restore your site, should anything happen. We also monitor for site downtime and work quickly to bring it back online.  We are well versed on all the finer details of your site – the nooks and crannies we say – and we’ll make sure that nothing is overlooked.
